The African Room

The old cedar R’Taj doors of the African Room open onto the courtyard. The original thick walls make it cooler in summer and warmer in winter (there is a heater for cold nights and a fan, if needed, for the hotter months). The room has a double bed (140x190cm).

The wardrobe doors are from the Dogon people of Mali, the three masks with metal plaques from the Warka tribe and a spirit mask from Gabon. A Tuareg tent peg recalls the desert caravan route to Marrakech.

The bathroom is in tadelakt, with a nickel sink, and an external window.
